If you’re planning an intimate Westchester wedding and want a space with style, warmth, and zero stuffiness, let me introduce you to one of my favorite spots: Gigante Restaurant. I’ve photographed weddings here, and every time I walk in, I’m reminded why it works so well for couples who want something relaxed, modern, and genuinely meaningful.
If you’re dreaming of a celebration that feels like a beautiful dinner party surrounded by your favorite people, this place deserves a closer look.

Gigante Restaurant sits in Eastchester, NY, and it has the exact kind of clean, modern aesthetic that photographs beautifully. The greenery, warm tones, and huge windows create a bright, welcoming atmosphere. For weddings around 50 to 60 guests, the space feels intentionally intimate without feeling tight. It really lets you focus on the people who matter most.

The only downside to this space is because it’s a restaurant rather than a traditional venue, it doesn’t have all of the same amenities. For example, there are no getting ready areas on site so other arrangements will need to be made for that part of your big day. However, they offer different options for parties of different sizes, including a full buyout. (Full buyouts are dependent on availability, so planning ahead is a must!)

At Gigante, most couples use the same general space for both the ceremony and reception, and honestly, it works perfectly. The area used for the reception can be set up for a ceremony first, then transitioned to long tables and dinner without much hassle. The light-filled windows and modern design give the room a clean backdrop no matter how you arrange it.

If at all possible, shoot for a daytime wedding.(The natural light is incredible!) The room stays bright and airy, which means you get soft, flattering images without worrying about harsh shadows or mixed lighting. If you’re planning a relaxed, dinner-style reception, the space supports that flow really well.
There’s also an outdoor patio with lounge seating and a tented cover. Couples use it for portraits, mingling, or casual activities after the meal. It keeps everything close together while still giving guests a breath of fresh air.

As a photographer, light is one of the first things I pay attention to and Gigante delivers. The windows bring in steady, beautiful natural light all day long, which makes a huge difference in how your images look and feel. Skin tones stay clean, colors stay true, and everything feels soft and open.

The greenery throughout the restaurant is another bonus. It creates simple, elegant portrait backgrounds that don’t overpower the moment. Some couples bring a custom floral arch or backdrop, and it blends effortlessly with the space. When the sun goes down, flash works great here because of the neutral tones and open layout. You don’t lose the feel of the space even when the lighting shifts. For couples who want a mix of bright daytime photos and fun evening images, Gigante supports both.

One of the biggest perks of hosting your wedding at a restaurant is the guest experience. People settle in quickly because the layout feels familiar, warm, and easy to navigate. The long tables encourage conversation, and the entire celebration tends to feel more like a shared gathering than a structured event. It’s a great option for couples who want to be able to really mingle and enjoy time with their guests.

There’s a large parking lot, which makes arrival simple for families and older guests. (Guests won’t have to circle the block searching for an open spot!) Since there’s no getting-ready suite on site, most couples choose a nearby hotel or a family home for prep. Once everyone arrives, everything stays in one place—no juggling multiple rooms or long transition periods.
At one of the weddings I photographed here, the couple played games during their reception instead of doing a traditional dance floor. It fit the space perfectly and kept the evening engaging and personal. Gigante works well for couples who want flexibility and connection rather than a packed timeline.

In my experience, Gigante Restaurant is ideal for couples who want:
If your vision is a Westchester celebration with a contemporary feel and plenty of room for candid moments, this venue fits beautifully. It’s part of why so many Westchester County wedding photographers recommend it for smaller ceremonies or even receptions only.

Since I’ve worked here before, here are a few things I always suggest:
Plan for daylight when you can.
This venue absolutely shines during the day. If natural light matters to you, consider an earlier ceremony or afternoon celebration.
Choose a comfortable getting-ready spot nearby.
Since the restaurant doesn’t have a prep area, start the day somewhere that fits the style you want for those early photos.
Lean into the dinner-party vibe.
The long tables and open room make the celebration feel connected and cozy. It’s a great opportunity to keep the styling simple and intentional.
Add personal touches.
A floral arch, greenery, or candles elevate the space without overwhelming it. You don’t need much to make it yours but it’s the perfect canvas for personalization.

If Gigante Restaurant feels like your kind of venue, I offer collections tailored to fit your wedding day, whatever that looks like for you.
This one is for the couples renting out a smaller space with around 30 to 60 guests. It works beautifully for a ceremony and reception in the same location, or even just a reception-only celebration.
The Intimate Wedding Collection includes:
Investment: $1,050

Perfect for court weddings with just the two of you or a handful of your closest people (think 0 to 5 guests). The ceremony itself is usually about 45 minutes, and we can add hours afterward to head somewhere nearby for couples portraits.
The Elopement Collection includes:
Investment: $850
Both collections focus on real, candid moments. The ones you’ll actually want to remember years from now. If posing isn’t your thing, no worries. My photography style draws from my filmmaking background. Because of this, your gallery will be filled with snapshots exactly the way you remember your wedding day, no matter which package you choose.
